Recent UPDATES
Abigail – Free-lance Sound Engineer and recording studio producer. She shuttled between New York and Europe, usually based in Ghent, Belgium or London. Very much in demand for her knowledge of fixing up sound studio problems. She spent a few days exploring Havana this January 2017. She joined the family (along with Matt Gattis) for a 2018 vacation in El Nido staying at the Pangulasian Island Resort.
Karl – Graduated from University of Kentucky Medical School in Lexington in 2016 and is now in his 2nd Year Residency in Neurology at the same school along with girlfriend, Olivia Winfrey who is also a PGY2 Resident in OB-Gyne
Rachel – works at the Art Institute of Chicago, and was the former director of the Internship Program, but now is in the Marketing Department. When not spending time with fiancee Jake Rowland who is working as a Pefusionist in NW Indiana, she still comes home to spend time with Shintaro and play Cello with St Irene’s on their Sunday services. She and Jake will be getting married next year 2019, a fantastic event everyone in the family is anticipating.
Shintaro – is his usual lovable self, always anxious when left alone but takes his job guarding the house seriously
Athena has joined Hera in dog heaven
Susan – the ‘Journalist-Geneticist’ is very much happy working with Blue Cross Blue Shield making sure doctors are practicing good medicine.
Henry is in his 6th year with Edward Neurosciences Institute of the Edward-Elmhurst Health System, affiliated with Northwestern Memorial Faculty Foundation. He is the head of the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic but still dabbles with Acute Stroke and Neuro ICU when on call which is now less often.
Daddy Crispin is now 94 years old. He braved a trip to the Philippines when Henry and Susan went home in February 2017 for the UPMASA Medical Mission in Ilocos Sur. He had a nostalgic reunion with his sister, Felicitas Cu who was 96 years old. ?2018 is going well for him so far.
The Family spent a grand vacation to the Philippines in February 2018. Jake and Matt had a good time and had the chance to get to know the Philippines, and got to meet Manong Boy Reyno. We missed Olivia because she could not take off from her OB Rotation.
